In Norway, VAT (Value Added Tax) is included in the sales price and makes up to 20% of the price tag. Approx. 4,000 affiliated shops offer 12 – 19% VAT refund on departure to residents outside Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Make sure to receive a Tax Refund Cheque whenever your purchase exceeds NOK 315 in one shop. Write your name, address and passport/ID number on the Tax Refund Cheque before you get to the airport and have it refunded at the information counter in the departure hall.
Ticket and goods will be checked, and the refund will be transferred to your credit card account within 1 – 2 weeks.
